Mexico City to Host WIRED Futures 2026

Mexico City has been selected as the venue for the upcoming WIRED Futures 2026, in collaboration with Entera and Coca-Cola FEMSA. This immersive and experiential event aims to provide attendees with the opportunity to delve into how technology is reshaping sectors including artificial intelligence (AI), content creation, entertainment, health, human rights, mobility, and finance. Through various activations, conferences, and networking spaces, the event highlights the interconnectedness of seemingly disparate topics that resonate strongly with audience interests.

Event Details and Registration

The annual WIRED event in Spanish is scheduled for 30th September at INSPACE Polanco, located at Lago Andró­maco 84, Granada. Interested individuals can attend free of charge, provided they register in advance, allowing them to engage in an enlightening experience that illustrates the future of technology across multiple domains.

Featured Speakers and Their Insights

Prominent figures in the entertainment and technology sectors will take the stage, including Diego Boneta and Natalia Boneta, who will discuss the interplay between entertainment, creative industries, and technology, exploring their evolution and future prospects. The programme will also feature Karla Agis, the Culture & Trends Lead for YouTube in Latin America, who, alongside content creators Ari Tenorio, Gonzok, and Los Skabeche, will examine transformations in consumption and content creation habits.

Moreover, representatives from UN Women Mexico will tackle the risks and threats associated with emerging technologies in dedicated sessions focusing on radicalisation, inequality, and the dangers of digital violence in the AI era. Participants include Eleonora Betancur González, UN Women’s representative in Mexico; Andrea Cházaro, an expert in violence against women; alongside notable figures such as sports journalist Marion Reimers, content creator Diego Alfaro, actress and producer Eréndira Ibarra, and Priscila Arias, known as “La Fatshionista.” All are ambassadors and spokespersons for the international organisation.

The future of superapps and digital business models will be discussed by industry leaders such as Juan Andrés Panamá, General Director of DiDi LATAM; Juan Velasco, Marketing & Commercial Director of Coca-Cola FEMSA; Higia De la Fuente Mancha, Marketing Director of PICKUP COFFEE Mexico; Paulo Rebolledo, Senior Vice President of Rappi; and Daniel Vogel, CEO of Bitso.
