How LuxuryLab Global 2026 Showcases AI’s Impact on Luxury While Highlighting the Importance of Human Touch

The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Luxury Brands

Artificial intelligence is currently reshaping the luxury industry by altering how brands develop, personalise, and distribute their offerings. Despite this technological advancement, there is a renewed appreciation for elements that cannot be reduced to mere automated tools or processes, such as creativity, intuition, hospitality, and emotional connection. This insight emerged prominently during the LuxuryLab Global 2026 conference, where it was emphasised that while technology will transform the industry, the human element will remain a distinctive advantage.

At the event, Javier Esteban Carrascón, Managing Director of Condé Nast Mexico & LATAM, highlighted that while technology can enhance efficiency and personalisation, factors such as trust, emotion, culture, and a sense of belonging will become increasingly vital in the relationship between brands and younger generations. In this evolving landscape, physical experiences continue to play a crucial role as spaces for connection.

The Role of Community in Brand Relationships

The relationship between Generation Z and brands is significantly influenced by community dynamics, as these individuals research, share, and validate their decisions within their social circles. Consequently, the concept of luxury is shifting from a mere status symbol to a sense of belonging. From this perspective, artificial intelligence should be harnessed to enhance the human element rather than replace it.

This transformation presents new priorities for brands: actively listening to younger generations, creating more human-centred experiences, prioritising relationships over immediate conversions, and utilising AI to strengthen connections with consumers. By integrating technology with human interaction, brands can craft innovative luxury experiences that resonate deeply with their audience.

AI’s Influence on Creativity and Personalisation

Tony Ventura, AI Expert and CEO of Tony Ventura Technology, discussed how artificial intelligence is revolutionising creativity, personalisation, distribution, and value creation within the luxury sector. As execution becomes more accessible, the importance of original ideas increases, making distribution a strategic advantage. Simultaneously, AI opens up new avenues for enhancing the personalisation of experiences.

For luxury brands, this means incorporating AI into their strategic processes, using it to tailor experiences, protect and amplify creativity, and strengthen both community engagement and distribution channels. Technology broadens the possibilities; however, it is human judgement that ultimately dictates how and for what purposes it is employed.

The Paradox of Luxury Evolution

The evolution of luxury presents a paradox: while technology enables greater efficiency, personalisation, and execution, deeply human attributes are gaining renewed significance. Creativity, original ideas, trust, hospitality, emotional connection, and the sense of belonging are integral components of an experience that technology can enhance but cannot replace. A central conclusion drawn from the discussions was that the next generation of luxury will not be defined solely by what is created, but also by the value generated for individuals, culture, and the planet.

The dialogue on these transformative themes will continue on 16 March 2027, during LuxuryLab Global Brasil 2027, set to take place at Rosewood São Paulo.
