However, it also contributes to what is known as “metabolic health,” which encompasses factors such as blood pressure, cholesterol levels, insulin sensitivity, and overall body fat. Good metabolic health is crucial for preventing chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease. The healthier your metabolism, the more calories you will burn, and the better your metabolic health will be.
