On Thursday, 13 August 2026, at approximately 15:54, train 1F34, which was operating the 14:24 service from London Victoria to Eastbourne, derailed near Lewes in East Sussex. This incident occurred roughly one mile north of Lewes station, resulting in a severe disruption to the rail service.
