Alarming Financial Discrepancies
Funnyfuzzy Tech UK Co., Ltd operated its online store at www.funnyfuzzy.co.uk, marketing a wide array of pet products. The website was linked to Funnyfuzzy HK Tech Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong. However, an inquiry by the Insolvency Service revealed that, despite reporting dormant accounts, the company had received over £6.3 million in payments between August 2023 and January 2026.
In a concerning turn of events, the company failed to cooperate with investigators, claiming it operated outside the UK jurisdiction, while simultaneously selling goods to UK consumers and employing a local contractor for customer returns. This lack of transparency extended to the company’s history, with multiple claims regarding its business addresses in the UK, the United States, China, and Hong Kong, but investigators found no trace of the company at its registered London location.
Customer Complaints and Deceptive Practices
A significant number of consumers lodged complaints with the Insolvency Service, Action Fraud, and Trading Standards, citing issues such as non-delivery of items, delays in shipping, poor-quality products, and inadequate customer service. The investigation discovered that the company frequently altered its online information, including changing names and addresses, creating confusion for customers trying to ascertain the legitimacy of their transactions.
The previous entity, Funnyfuzzy UK Co., Ltd, was also dissolved in 2024 following a similar inquiry, indicating a deliberate attempt to evade responsibility and continue operating under a different name.

Mark George, the Chief Investigator at the Insolvency Service, expressed concern over the apparent disregard for UK company regulations displayed by those behind Funnyfuzzy Tech UK Co., Ltd. He stated that the agency is committed to preventing such unethical business practices from persisting through the establishment of new entities after previous closures.
George acknowledged the challenges posed by the transfer of website ownership but affirmed that the Insolvency Service will persist in collaborating with various partners to disrupt such trading activities. He emphasised that this recent action serves as a warning to others considering similar operations, reinforcing that vigilant oversight is in place.
